If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Tony Blair a set of inexpensive and useless (to Tony Blair's UK video formatting) DVDs, when Tony Blair had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had approved 21.3 billon dollars to bring Palestinian terrorist to live in luxury in America (HR 1388) while the country is already crumbling, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive?

Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 10 weeks -- so you'll have three years and nine-and-a-half months to come up with an answer.

Guy wins an election and is considered the most influential person of the year? What exactly has he done? Bombed Pakistan his first day in office, admitted to useless spending in the stimulus package, permitted Nazi ideology to be incorporated into Missouri State Law.

I'm sure these are the reasons Time picked him, right?

Get with the program - listen to Ron Paul.

In my opinion, I would vote for Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of The Redeemed Christian Church of God.

He might not be so visible because he is apolitical but his effects are felt throughout the world.

His credentials include the ability to hear from God which I tell you is a scarce asset in our time.

He left his qualification (a doctorate degree in applied mathematics, his thesis is there for the records at the University of Lagos, Nigeria) to serve God, His country and Humanity.

Barrack Obama is not a bad choice especially from people's emotional point of view. He has the pedigree (potential) to my understanding but I would give the person of the year to Pastor E. A. Adeboye who is TIME-tested (over the years) and trusted even by those who dislike him.

I would have you check up on him.

Thank-you, Time. I whole heartedly agree with your decision to name Barack Obama “Person of the Year”. He is an honest, smart, savvy, talented individual – the best all around person elected president in my lifetime, and this is the tenth time I’ve voted for a presidential candidate. Perhaps I will subscribe to Time again. I discontinued my subscription when George W Bush was named “Person of the Year” a few years ago.
