You need to fix the link to gasbuddy on the first page of your article- it sends people to "gasbuddycom" and not "gasbuddy.com"

The most beautiful and user-friendly travel site I've ever seen. Helps you get inspired and research trips (collaboratively with friends). Just launched last week. I love it for the richness of editorial content, elegance, and ease of use.

Ok, I'm a little biased here, but I think PianoWorld.com is one of the most interesting and useful sites on the Web.
The world famous Piano Forums at Piano World will reach the 1 Million Post mark this Wednesday. For a niche web site run by one person, that's a lot of posts!
Piano World averages over 185,000 page views a day.
PianoWorld.com, proof the piano is still popular, and fun.
Respectfully,
Frank Baxter / Founder & Host

I would have to say THE NEST or THE KNOT.com

How about a site that isn't a fluff piece of garbage? Try Democracy Now! (www.democracynow.org) for example--an actual news site that provides actual news without all of the kitten-in-a-tree/ news-of-the weird nonsense that infects other "news" sites. Some people, believe it or not, are actually interested in knowing what's going on in the world, and Democracy Now! offers an amazingly accurate barometer for what stories will be reaching the mainstream headlines, often months in advance, whereas corporate media sources like Time Magazine too often put commercial interests before accurate reporting.

My new favorite website is Less Accounting (http://lessaccounting.com), which I've been using to run my small business for months now. It's become the most visited site on the web after my email and I think the team did a really great job building the app. It makes complicated accounting procedures simple for non-CPAs, which is huge since I do all of my own records keeping.

herecomestheson2008.com or org.
This was an insignificant wed site last year, but it's worth studying what it says this year. It's religious. Yes, King Jesus comes in the year 2008. NOBODY believes it, but prophecy will be fulfilled. As it was in the days of Noe, it is today. We have concentrated on EVERYTHING else to think about and make our lives comfortable, but guess what? WE have forfgotten about the real meaning of life. Jesus comes back this very year!

The Mo'Kelly Report
http://www.mokellyreport.blogspot.com
Politics, entertainment and a real witty intersection of both. Highly underrated, just below the radar of the big blogs...for now. Seems to be generating some buzz...
I think only one person (Mo'Kelly) posts all the material.

Great picks! Thanks for including us. At first I thought this was the best NEW sites of 2008, but turns out it's the best sites in 2008, might need to clarify that in the future, but I've bookmarked a few treasures for myself and seen some on here that I totally agree with (re: Mint, PopSugar, and of course Zeer)

http://www.abebooks.com - Almost any book ever written can be found at this conglomerate of 20,000 used book stores around the world. Each book store posts their inventory - 1st addition, signed, paperback or hardback, etc. so that you can select the best book in your price range. I LOVE IT!

Some of my faves:
I get all of my recipes from Allrecipes.com. You will not use any other site, guaranteed.
I always use Kayak.com to search for cheap travel. TravelZoo.com is another great site for travel bargains.
I use Zannel.com to send pictures to my friends from my cell. Its Twitter on steroids.
I love PopCandy.com for my pop culture fix. A lot better than PopSugar which tends to be a little tween for my tastes.
TelevisionWithoutPity is a "must" site.
And Last.FM is a pretty good "scrobbler" for music lovers.
