I CAN NOT believe who topped the 100... are people CRAZY... its a VIDEO GAME for God's sake... this guy tops Al Gore, Oprah and HH Dalai Lama... I think the majority of the community that filled out your poll has lost their minds. At least I can be proud of my answers to it.

    I am fully DISGUSTED.

Chien Ming Wang of Taiwan is the most important and influential person in that country.

  • 5

George Clooney, Ratan Tata, Suzi Orman. Are my top 3 choices.
And way, way down for me is Oprah Winfrey! She has become so drunk with her powerful popularity, that she now thinks that she can question Jesus Christ! You've only to read about 'her church' and all that is happening in it! Used to think that she was great, now I do not, but she is doing a good enough job in the, 'I"m great' department, so I ,and those who think like me, will leave her to it!
    Joy O'Neil-Saldanha.....

I'm really hoping that this list was a joke, or maybe there was some sort of system glitch!

  • 7

Shimon Peres( always has a chance for peace if he can)
    Luis Rodriguez Zapetero(Alliance of Civilization)

It is a US centric list. No Indian leaders other than Sonia Gandhi..no cult figures tha sway a billion people..amongst entertainers like Amitabh bachchan or Shahrukh Khan or Aishwarya Rai, no Osama bin Laden (who dictates US policy!), so let us not call it a World 100 but just a US 100.

  • 10

    Vladimir Putin

  • 11

..and amongst business men, u have just heard of Ratan Tata but not the Ambani brothers? and LN Mittal .... and what happened to Bill Gates and Warren Buffet?

  • 12

Among the most influential people is:
Michael O. Johnson, President and CEO of Herbalife Ltd.

  • 13

"Influential" remember? At the top is Osama bin laden and Ahmedinijad..becoz they have dictated US policy for seven years and the King of Saudi Arabia, who the US kowtows to.

  • 14

You should have included Benedict XVI

  • 15

imran khan is famous all over the world

  • 16

    Tyra Banks and Tyler Perry

  • 17

    Anybody but Putin/Merkel.

Dalai Lama, PN Howard, my Mom

  • 18

    Sir/Madam,

This is probably the MOST patetic compilation of 100 leaders, who you claim to have affected our lives.

I am sure, like me, most of your readers have no clue about almost half of those who made the list.

    Lagerfeld? Are you crazy?

I have nothing against Karl Lagerfeld but just citing an example. His 'couture' does not, in any matter or form affects MY life.

Whats gone with this annual and once 'respected' exercise?

    Political correctness?

    Shame on you!

  • 19

    b obama

  • 20

    H. H. The Dalai Lama

  • 21

    Hu Jin-Tao!
His positive policy improve the life of 1.3 billion people in Cina!

  • 22

Nidal Sakr and Sara Bokker are two people if you don't know, you must have at least read about, or was touched by their work, no matter where you are.
Obviously the list is for those who can make lists, and not necessarily for those who change lives all over the world, day in day out, one life at a time.
Not to forget, Rajab taib Ardoghan of course.

  • 23

Bono with Bill and Melinda Gates should still be on the list. They continue to do important work.

  • 24

Zac Efron is at the top of my list. Followed by NKOTB, JEFF GORDON, JIMMIE JOHNSON, DALE EARNHARDT JR, CASEY MEARS, BRETT FAVRE, PEYTON MANNING, OPRAH, MADONNA, , JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, KIRK CAMERON, LARRY KING, ANDERSON COOPER, AND KRISTIE YAMAGUCHI.

  • 25

Obama is the FIRST possible black president. His personality is totally different from the other candidates. Why did you leave him out??
